General John B, Bella, Roxy, Teddy, Sammy, Moscow, Hargill, and Devon are a few examples of off-the-track thoroughbreds that found new lives with the help of Paradise Valley. With tragic events at racetracks, Paradise Valley sees the incredible need for saving horses from the terrible and all-too-common fate of death if they don’t win. Horses also die from injuries and heart failure when they push to the finish line at the tender age of two. At this age, horses’ bodies are immature, and their muscles and organs are still developing. Taking these horses from the track will not only save their lives but put an end to the abuse they face. Paradise Valley continues to retrain these horses and match them with loving forever-homes.

Spending a few hours learning about and meeting the animal ambassadors of Paradise Valley is a crucial first step to a brighter future. Paradise Valley hopes that these hands-on sessions learning about animals will encourage children to connect emotionally with animals.

Paradise Valley horses have a history of being successful competitors in The Special Olympics, which is "a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability." TakeAChance and Gorgeous George both took their riders to the podium and won bronze, silver and gold medals at The Special Olympics held at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in 2015.

Paradise Valley will continue to grow the program, illustrating that rescue horses can give back to the ones who need them most. The Special Olympics platform highlights the amazing spirit of the horse. The competition also gives the horses a voice to show that all rescues deserve a second chance. Of note, the equestrian sport is the only sport by which an animal is involved directly. This puts a spotlight on the relationship between man and horse and gives the world a chance to see the special gifts that horses have in healing, patience and love.

Paradise Valley's goal is to save the dogs and cats left at shelters, especially the seniors who have abandoned regardless of their service to their families. Paradise Valley extends this program to Dalmatians and other dog breeds that are surrendered due to their high energy and behavioral issues. Just like off-the-track thoroughbreds, Paradise Valley also rehomes these animals and creates a haven for them to live out the remainder of their happy lives if they aren't rehomed.

Paradise Valley would like to extend its program to other farm animals that need homes as well. The dream is to obtain a ranch that can become a sanctuary for these animals.

Annette started bringing her horses as unicorns to children's parties a few years ago, and each child's face would light up as they came into view. Given their positive reactions, Annette realized that this could be brought to more children, especially those who couldn’t experience the magic of ponies regularly. One child diagnosed with cerebral palsy took to her pony, Butter. Seeing this bond develop, Annette knew that her ponies had a special gift that needed to be shared. Paradise Valley would like to expand the unicorn program to reach more children and adults alike with special needs, terminal illnesses, and cancer. Paradise Valley also wants to partner with hospitals and non-profit organizations to spread this blessing.

Paradise Valley animals are known for their wonderful temperaments and have been featured in movies, television shows, commercials, music videos. and photo shoots. Through word of mouth and by request, Paradise Valley encourages rescue animals to be featured in Hollywood roles to continue to raise awareness.

Paradise Valley is creating a space on the property dedicated to growing vegetables and herbs. The garden will provide a venue that will be an outdoor classroom and even a sustainable food source.

The first step in promoting kindness to animals and the world starts with educating the next generation. Paradise Valley promotes this compassion early by engaging with every child that visits the farm. We can't expect our world to heal if future generations are not equipped how to save it in the first place. Paradise Valley builds this movement through educational programs for children. Getting to know the animals and their stories encourages children to have the empathy they need to pursue a common good for animals and the world.
